1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or utilizing Web Online Board ("webonlineboard.com", the "Service", or "the Platform"), you confirm that you have read, comprehended, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not consent to these Terms, you must cease using the Service immediately.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, educators, software engineers, and collaborators who access or use the whiteboard canvas, widgets, templates, and associated web tools.
2. Description of the Service
Web Online Board provides a browser-based, high-performance digital whiteboard and vector drawing canvas. Core capabilities include:
- Freehand sketching, neon highlighters, shape recognition, and laser pointer spotlight tools.
- Sticky notes, markdown annotations, tables, code snippets, and coordinate graph paper.
- Multi-sheet canvas tabs, presentation slide mode (F5), and cloud architecture icon sets.
- Mermaid code diagram generator, SQL ERD parser, and multi-format vector exports (PNG, SVG, PDF, JSON).
- Peer-to-peer real-time collaborative rooms with zero mandatory user sign-in.
3. Intellectual Property & Your Absolute Ownership
You retain sole, exclusive, and unencumbered intellectual property rights and copyright in all drawings, vector shapes, diagrams, architectural schematics, text, formulas, and files you create or upload on Web Online Board.
Web Online Board does not claim any ownership, copyright, or moral rights over your user content. Because our canvas operates locally in your browser memory and IndexedDB, we do not inspect, host, duplicate, license, or sell your proprietary work to third parties.
4. Permitted Uses & Commercial License
Web Online Board is provided free of charge for both non-commercial and commercial endeavors, including:
- Commercial Projects: System architecture planning, company retrospectives, software sprint reviews, client presentations, and product wireframing.
- Educational Institutions: K-12 classrooms, university lectures, online tutoring, and academic research.
- Content Creators: Creating illustrations, technical diagrams, video tutorials, and published articles without requiring attribution (though a link back is always appreciated!).
5. Acceptable Use Policy
When using Web Online Board, you agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited behaviors:
- Network Abuse: Attempting to overwhelm, flood, or conduct Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks against our web servers, CDNs, or WebRTC signaling infrastructure.
- Malicious Code: Uploading or transmitting files infected with viruses, worms, keyloggers, or other harmful malicious payloads through image or file import tools.
- Harassment & Unlawful Content: Transmitting defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful, or otherwise unlawful visual material across shared collaborative rooms.
- Unauthorized Reverse Engineering: Attempting to exploit vulnerabilities in signaling relays or subverting access control protocols.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
While we strive for sub-millisecond drawing fluidity, 60fps canvas performance, and high browser reliability across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and mobile tablets, we do not warrant that the Service will be completely bug-free, continuous, or compatible with all legacy web browsers.
7. Limitation of Liability & Data Backups
Because Web Online Board operates on a local-first storage architecture (IndexedDB), your drawings reside directly within your local browser sandbox.
To safeguard important project boards against inadvertent browser cache clearance, private browsing resets, or operating system reinstalls, we strongly recommend regularly exporting your boards as .json workspace backups (via Export > Backup JSON) or high-resolution images.
Under no circumstances shall Web Online Board or its operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including data loss or lost profits, resulting from your use of or inability to use the platform.
8. Open Source & Third-Party Assets
Web Online Board incorporates select open-source libraries (e.g. Lucide Icons, Mermaid.js, Geist font family) licensed under permissive open-source licenses (MIT, Apache 2.0, or OFL). All respective copyrights and trademarks remain the property of their respective creators.
9. Modifications to the Service & Terms
We continuously refine and improve Web Online Board by introducing new templates, tools, and performance optimizations. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When updates are published, the effective date will be revised. Continued use of the website following published modifications constitutes your binding acceptance.
10. Governing Law & Contact Details
These Terms shall be interpreted and governed in accordance with applicable general law, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any legal queries or formal notices regarding these terms should be addressed to our legal desk:
